Kyle is a performer, director, and entrepreneur with a passion for telling new and challenging stories through a wide variety of creative outlets. He began his career in Southeastern Virginia at the age of 10 through involvement with companies like “The Hurrah Players” and “Theatrix Productions.” Through this, he discovered that his love for theatre expanded beyond the boundaries of performing on stage, and began to dip his toes into backstage work.
Before graduating high school in 2009, he produced, designed, cast, directed, and performed in a full-length production of Clue: The Musical at “Kempsville Playhouse” in Virginia Beach, Virginia (for reviews on this production, check out the Virginian Pilot write-up here). This experience spurred him to pursue four grueling and life-changing years of education which culminated in 2013 with two college degrees, (B.A.s in Theatre Production, and Theatre Arts Performance) experience teaching and directing through the Liberty University Theatre Camps, and a series of new educational and professional resume credits.
Immediately following graduation, Kyle spent two years touring the country as a Technician and Illusion Assistant for Spencer’s Theatre of Illusion. He stepped into the realm of film acting (see film reel here), began writing his own scripts/concepts for new immersive theatre experiences (stay tuned!), and returned to his first love of performing on stage through shows with “Mill Mountain Theatre,” “Wolfbane Productions,” “Alluvion Stage Company,” “Pickleville Playhouse,” and “Thin Air Theatre Company” (for specific roles and shows, see resume here).
Kyle is grateful for the road that brought him here and is eager to continue learning and growing as a performer, technician, producer, and director in the years to come.
